Does it matter if the coins are circulated or uncirculated if you’re buying them as a hedge against inflation?

Answer by Scott StevensonSince the ASE doesn’t circulate, you won’t find many that aren’t uncirculated–they just don’t get handled enough to have any visible wear.
Even if they did, if you’re buying as a hedge against inflation, all you care about is the silver, not the condition of the coin. Uncirculated ASE’s have very little premium over their bullion value.
