Answer by medoramanAncient greek coins had coins on them mainly as advertising for their city. Each city issued their own coins, and they all had their own animal symbol. Remember, most people were illiterate, so a symbol is the best way to advertise the city.

I have a 1941 German coin w an eagle and swastika on it. It is about the size of an amercan nickel. Any idea what it is worth?? ty for input.

I would like to know what equiptment I would need and how to do it. Also should you remove the extra metal from the coins so its 99.999% silver and if so how would you do that?

You would lose some of their value as coins. Just sell them and buy silver ingots.
