Question by tommie s: What states do the Philadelphia mint coins get sent to? What states does the Denver mint coins get sent to?
Best answer:
Answer by ChrisI don’t believe there is a set pattern for where coins from each mint goes, although they do tend to go to places geographically closest. It would be hard to break the distribution down by state based on how they are distributed. The Mint’s only ‘customer’, is the Federal Reserve. The nation’s banks can only order coins through the Federal Reserve bank . . . → Read More: What states do the Philadelphia mint coins get sent to? What states does the Denver mint coins get sent to?

Question by xMileHighSalute: How does the US Mint release new coins?
I was looking at the new “state parks collection” coins and I was wondering, how do they “release new coins.” I mean they got the state collection of quarter out pretty well, so that pretty much every other quarter is a state quarter.
Do they give them to employees to spend or do they hand them out, or toss them on the street and let people grab them? What do they do?

Question by Terry S: Where can I get uncirculated versions of current US coins for about face value, excluding mint sets?
I am interested in uncirculated presidential dollars, the new nickels, and other new coins that are being released. I want to collect these in albums and I am not interested in buying mint sets and breaking them up. I also do not want to pay much more than face value, if possible.
