I also would like to know the difference between a federal reserve note and a United States Note 2.00 bill. Also an uncirculated set of 1943 lead pennies from each mint. What are rolls of mercury dimes worth. Would appreciate any input. Also have silver dollars.

Question by Jbay: If you live in the United States, save Canadian coins?
Ever since I could remember, Canadian coins do not count when spending. If you give a clerk a Canadian quarter and they catch you they may refuse it. However not a day goes by that I didn’t receive at least one Canadian coin. I decided to save them for a trip to Canada, since these coins are hard to spend. Is this a good idea?
Thanks Aaron, I do not know why either.
How about your vending machines?

Question by Mental: Do you think American and Canadian coins should be of identical size?
Don’t you get tired of putting coins in machines just to have them spit out because they were from the other country but almost identical in appearance?
Either we’re friends and allies or we’re not.
Best answer:
Answer by eyikoluvsandyIt’s a different country. Why should their currency look like ours? But I do remember being able to use Canadian quarters in public phones and vending machines when I was a kid.

Question by flazatty: Do Canadian Coins Work in Canadian Vending Machines?
Canadian 5-cent, 10-cent and 25-cent coins are magnetic and thus do not work in vending machines in the United States. Placing a Canadian coin in a U.S. vending machine is like trying to use a metal slug. Are there vending machines in Canada, and, if so, do Canadian coins work in them? If they do work, how are Canadian vending machines able to handle magnetic coins without getting jammed?

Question by Glen C: Can anysone suggest an efficient & inexpensive way to sort & wrap all the Canadian coins we collect?
I usually have about $ 500 bucks in Canadian coins (every year) that I do not want to spend my life wrapping.
- Yes, I have tried the cheap, handsorting, plastic tray system (too much trouble)
- Yes, I have tried the public commercial machines (too expensive with fees of 8% !)
Has anyone heard of a fully automatic sort & wrap machine that costs at most $ 100?
